Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just getting started, here’s everything you need to know to take advantage of this program.

What is the Topps 2025 MVP Buyback Program?

The MVP Buyback Program rewards collectors with store credit for returning specific cards from the 2025 Topps Chrome and Topps Chrome Logofractor collections. The eligible cards are those featuring the American League (AL) and National League (NL) MVPs announced at the end of the 2024 MLB season.

Eligible Cards for Buyback

Here’s the breakdown of which cards you can redeem:

  • Base Cards: Cards featuring the AL and NL MVPs from 2025 Topps Chrome collections.
  • Refractor Variations: Includes Sepia, X-Fractor, Raywave, and Logofractor variations.
  • Numbered Parallel Cards: Both high and low-numbered parallels are eligible.
  • Special MVP Stamped Cards: Cards stamped "2024 MVP Buyback" included in the 2025 Topps Chrome set, applicable if a player wins back-to-back MVP awards.

Topps offers competitive store credit values for your eligible cards:

  • Base Cards: $20 store credit per card.
  • Refractor Variations: $40 store credit per card.
  • Numbered Parallel Cards:

    • 100 or less: $200 store credit.
  • Back-to-Back Stamped MVP Cards: Values range from $199 to $1,000 based on the card’s rarity.

When Does the Program Run?

The 2025 MVP Buyback Program officially starts shortly after the MVP announcements in November 2024 and will run through January 30, 2025. Don’t miss the chance to get the most out of your collection!

How to Redeem Your Cards

Participating in the program is simple and flexible:

  1. In-Person Redemption: Visit a participating hobby shop to exchange your eligible cards for store credit.
  2. Mail-In Options: If you don’t have a local hobby shop, Topps has partnered with mail-in retailers like:
    • Dave & Adam’s
    • Midwest Cards
    • Steel City Collectibles

Make sure to check the official list of participating shops for the most convenient option.

Tips to Maximize Your Return

  • Watch the MVP Race: Keep an eye on the MVP contenders throughout the season and start collecting their cards early.
